Homeowners: The following is a listing of some of the more common occurrences of covenant violations: Yard maintenance: (Covenant Section 6.02) We have noticed the following conditions that we would like homeowners to address:
Home maintenance: (Covenant Section 6.02) with all the wet weather some homes are starting to show mold and mildew on the exterior. Please take time to wash or pressure wash the exterior to keep this to a minimum. Parking on the Street: (Covenant Section 6.15) Technically, per Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, simply put, it is ILLEGAL. This has become a safety issue. In several cases it causes drivers to suddenly move to the left or into the oncoming side of traffic as they approach a hill, curve, or turn- this is a potential for a head on collision as well as a child running out from the back/front of the parked vehicle. If the parking is temporary for a party or house visit, please make sure your guests park in a safe manner. If the car must be parked overnight or for an extended period of time, please have them park in the driveway-many other homeowners are slightly inconvenienced in the same manor when there are multiple cars, but are courteous enough to not jeopardize the safety of others and manage to shuffle vehicles around as necessary.
Parking on the Street: (The Code of Paulding County Georgia) http://library.municode.com/mcc/home.htm?infobase=11409&doc_method=cleardoc Sec. 62-63. Unlawful use of county road. (b) No person shall park or cause to be parked, on any county road or any property maintained by the county or its political subdivisions, any vehicle overnight or for any other period; provided, however, that disabled vehicles may remain on such property, in an area safely out of the flow of traffic, for a reasonable period not to exceed 24 hours, which time limit may be waived by the office of the county sheriff or marshal, provided further, however, that a vehicle may be parked on such property safely out of the flow of traffic for a reasonable time as is required to first clear a location on the site, and off of the county road, for parking, but in no case shall such vehicle be permitted to remain on such property for a period exceeding eight hours; any such vehicle violating any provision of this subsection may be impounded by the county and/or the marshal may issue a citation to the owner or operator of such vehicle. Neither the county nor any of its political subdivisions or employees or agents shall be re sponsible for any charges incurred or damages sustained in the towing and storage of such vehicles.
Garbage Cans: (Covenant Section 6.14 and 6.20) If you do not wish to store your garbage can in the garage, it must be stored so that it can not be seen from the street. On trash day, please move the garbage can from the curb as soon as possible once the garbage ahs been collected. Boats, campers, trailers: (Covenant Section 6.15) These items must be parked in a garage, or off site. They are not permitted to be parked in the driveway for extended periods of time. Pets Roaming Free: Not really covered under the covenants. Paulding county does have a leash law. All pets must be on a leash and not allowed to roam free. We also have a covenant regarding animals (Covenant Section 6.19) If you see an animal that you perceive to be a danger please contact Paulding animal control at: 770.445.1511 http://www.paulding.gov/living/animalcontrol.asp Also, be courteous to your neighbor's yards & try to encourage "potty" breaks in common areas. Speeding: Not really covered under the covenants, just a neighborhood safety issue. Homeowners please keep your speed down as you travel through the subdivision(s). School is back in session and this becomes very important in the mornings and afternoons. As a homeowner, if you notice repeat offenders please note the vehicle color and tag number if possible. If it is a commercial vehicle note the company name. Turn this information into the Board or All-In-One. We will see what we can do to notify the individual to slow it down. |
